Cleaning up the Hood

A view of the bottom, once covered in undercoating.

Finished up the hood today and took to the body shop.. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Here is the "after" photo. Not real hard but just tedious work, lots of rags and lacquer thinner. Was not disappointed in what was under the undercoating..wish I had taken a photo of the hood before removing the first layer! BTW..the dark areas are bare metal..not undercoating..

Hood Re-do

Here is the hood after the initial removal of under coating. This is the hood I bought in Kentucky, trying to find one with a better shape and less support frame rust and pitting.
